What We Did - Likes, Dislikes, Tips
Awesome! Plan on spending all day! Even my wife liked it! There's a lot of history inside the aircraft carrier about other ships, wars, etc.
Great! The different areas of the Carolinas were interesting. A lot of kids were there. You can buy a package ticket for the aquarium, IMAX, and Fort Sumter and save.
Very interesting. Nice boat ride over. I would not recommend going on last tour. We only had 45 minutes once we got there, which wasn't enough time to see everything, take pictures, etc.
If you go, you have to see a 3-D movie. We saw an under the sea. Awesome!
Went to the Crab House off of Wappoo Creek. This one was featured on "Flip this House!" Good food and atmosphere, probably not as busy as the downtown one on the weekend.
Pretty even though we went in late September. There were still some flowers blooming. The Camelias were pretty and smelled wonderful. Didn't tour the house.
At the Magnolia Plantation. This was OK. Nothing special. We saw a couple of alligators and not many birds.
Excellent! We went on a weeknight and walked right in! Great seafood, atmosphere, etc. Had one of the nicest waitresses ever (college student)!
Only 10 minutes from the Residence Inn / Riverview Mariott. The public beach park on the south end was nice. Went 3 days.
Visited one night after dinner. Seemed OK. It was different than other beaches we've been to in that there are woods/forests between the actual beach and the closest houses.
Nice outlets for shopping. Some even have outlet prices. Same stores basically as other Tanger outlet centers
