My list is about site seeing but also eating good food and tasting some great wine
This Basilica is gorgeous--though much of it is currently under scafolding. Also loved the Piazza it sits in--beautiful buildings and even a Christmas market during the holiday season!
It's practically mandatory. Even if you aren't into art--you should go.
This market is fantastic and goes for blocks! Check out both the surrounding streets as well as the indoor market
This is a fantastic street in Florence for window shopping! All the famous designers have great window displays
I love this square with its ancient arch. Also in the square are some cute cafes where you can sit and people watch, as well as La Rinascente Department store, which has a rooftop cafe with great views as well.
LOVED this wine bar. So great---super nice staff and wonderful salty crackers you can have with your wine. A great place to go if you are looking for a little break before dinner.
Right near the San Lorenzo markets. Fantastic lunch spot when you need a break from shopping at the markets.
Wow is all I can say. If you are going to eat a Bisteca Fiorentina--make sure to get it here. The small dining room is lined with wine bottles, and the daily specials and wines are listed on chalk boards around the room.
