This is a list of my favorite things to do/see in Kauai (in no particular order)
Beautiful drive up there and a priceless view from many different lookout points.
Nice beach to snorkel and soak up some sun!
Good food and good show - the grounds are absolutely beatiful!
We went on a Na'pali tour (breathtaking!) and made a stop to snorkel!
On the North side of the Island, where Na'Pali begins.
Stay in the honeymoon suite!
Helicopter Tour of the whole island, with a stop for lunch at an unaccessible waterfall! There are no doors on this helicopter - exhilarating!
Picture perfect view - if it isn't too foggy! It was when we visited.
9. Jo Jo's Shave Ice
The BEST shave ice on the island. I got coconut, guava, and mango with vanilla ice cream on the bottom - perfection! It is in Waimea, so grab some before or after going up to the canyon.
10. Kayak Wailua River / Hike to Secret Falls
First you kayak up the river, then you stop and take a hike to Secret Falls. There are a few different Kayak companies that you can take.
Beautiful falls - they say it is not accessible, but we found our way to the bottom! It was quite a hike, but there was a rope to help you at certain points. The directions to do so were in the Ultimate Guide to Kauai - the directions aren't perfect though...you have to kinda look around and find your own way. Quite an adventure but it pays off when you get to take a swim in the falls and get a breakthtaking up-close view.
Nice warm water, a great view of the ocean, plus you can even bring your snorkel equipment because there are some fish in it!
13. Roy's Poipu Bar & Grill
Expensive but delicious!
Nice ambience and good fish!
Offer snorkelling equipment - convenient drop-off whenever you are ready (even if its is before or after hours). You can rent for the whole week if you want!
Absolutely beautiful!! Must See!!
Neat to see - there were a few sea turltes here when we went, too.
