3 days in beautiful SB
Fun, lively restaurant. We scored a seat on the patio about 15 minutes before they started serving dinner...a good call for happy hour. As the place totally filled up, we ate our scrumptious dinners. We recc. the "tuna martini". Not recc. for vegetarians.
AMAZING Mexican food. Don't be fooled by the appearance, this place is delicious and CHEAP!
Where all the action is.
Beautiful Park on the ocean. We played aerobe and walked along the shoreline path. There are stairs that lead down to a nice, un-crowded beach - great to dip your toes in the water. There a few "vista" areas to watch for dolphins and whales (we saw some dolphins!). This park features restrooms, a jungle gym for kids, and picnic area with bbq grills.
Very nice vineyard in Solvang. Friendly staff, busy, and fun atmosphere. As seen on the movie "Sideways", they serve up a BIG Syrah.
Cute tasting room in Los Olivos. Owner was very friendly and talkative. Best Chardonnay I've had in a loooong time :) Yum.
One of the nicest wharfs in Cali. You can park for $2 an hour and then head over to the beach.
Kitchy Dutch town, fun for a stroll!
Good for inexpensive and healthy snacks for your picnic!
Cute town with many tasting rooms.
Yummy cheese shop in Solvang. They make "picnic boxes" all ready for a day of wine tasting. Sandwhiches to order too.
