This is my "favorites" list for things to enjoy around Charlotte, NC. I use the word "favorites" instead of "best" because I just know what I love, but I can't claim to have tried every other alternative in the city. If you know of great alternatives, please share them! I plan on adding to this list as I make new discoveries.

1. Favorite Burger: Five Guys Burger and Fries
|

| Located at Johnston Road and Ballantyne Commons Parkway. Five Guys has the best burgers (and fries!) in Charlotte. |

| Lake Norman is too big. Mountain Island Lake is too small. Lake Wylie is -just- right! Plus not nearly as many pesky problems with lake levels as on Norman. |

| With a beautiful hall in Blumenthal, attending a concert is as easy as a quick stroll from anywhere in uptown. Classical music has never been so accessible! |
