My husband and I took this stroll EVERY evening we were in Rome...and every night was as enchanting as the one before.

We heard there was a lively market here in the mornings, but were impressed with its night-life as well. LOTS of people just hanging around, eating, and people watching. Wonderful old-Rome atmosphere.
Much more spacious than Campo de' Fiori, this Piazza was filled with street vendors, entertainers, restaurants, fountains, and great atmosphere!
3. Tre Scalini Gelateria & Cafe / Restaurant
A stop here for some tartufo (death by chocolate gelato) is a MUST!
This square was our first "wow" while in Rome. Turning the corner to meet the Pantheon "in person" was just awesome. The first feeling we had was that we had just walked onto a movie set...it's that unbelievable. Getting up and close didn't help us wrap our brains around this place made in 120 A.D. C'mon...40 ft. granite columns carved from one piece? Simply amazing...
I have to admit that my husband and I, as many times as we took this walk, didn't find this place open. If you get the chance though...it's rumored to be the best place for coffee in Rome!
6. Giolitti's Gelateria
Supposedly Rome's oldest, and most famous, gelateria. Every time we came the place was packed...and rightfully so! The gelato here was piled high and delicious!!
7. Trevi Fountain (Fontana di Trevi)
Can't take an evening stroll without visiting this landmark fountain!
8. Spanish Steps (Piazza di Spagna)
This is where the evening (and daily stroll) ended for us...a perfect place to sit and ponder the wonders of this lovely city!!
