Keep your canine on a six foot or less leash, and enjoy long walks down the beach. Port Bolivar across the ferry has long stretches of deserted beaches for you and your dog to romp and roam.
The Buffalo Bayou Trail consists of a 2-mile trail on green space along the bayou that continues east to the Buffalo Bayou Heritage Corridor trails providing a scenic bayou trail from Shepherd, on the west . to the turning basin along the Ship Channel, on the east.

They have a patio upstairs that looks over Post Oak and downtown houston. They do annual fundraisers to Houston Humane Society where you can get a special meal for your dog, while you enjoy their delicious mexican food. Go for the chips and stay for the margaritas.
Casual and great buffalo or beef burgers-no catsup needed. Your family will love the burger, and they will sell you a Beef patty for $2 for your best canine. Two dogs approved and gave high paws to the burger (buffalo or beef). Sunday even has a brunch.

For $50 fee, stay by the galleria area with your (all sizes) dogs. Just a short walk to the wall of water fountain and the Galleria. They have dog bowls to borrow. Clean comfortable beds, spacious rooms, bring your own dog beds or buy one at the Galleria Mall.
