Stay here on one of the HOT DATES look on the internet and you can find a great deal for $69 and if you talk nice to the front desk and give them a sweet tip you may just get a sweet Suite. It had happened on two occasions. I love the pool it is amazing and I was lucky enough to see the Grand Opening on July 1st this year the pool is amazing. I have always checked in on a Sunday as the weekend Fri, Sat are way to busy to get a good room so don't expect anything fancy on those two days. Places to eat here: Little Buddah is pretty good for Vegas Sushi I usually get something small a order of sushi and a beer and get out because it can get very pricey here. The Mexican place Guardos or somehting I think is great, the staff is very friendly here and basically George Maloof has trained his staff right they are always very curtious and kind even if you are not someone special. Not like the Hard Rock where i have stayed several times and the Front Desk staff is sweet but the rest of the staff at HR could take soem lessons from the kids at the palms. Also there is a large food court if you are oin a budget or just feel like panda express or Mickey Ds. I have not had the pleasure of going to Alize of 9Nine but that is a dream of mine I hope to come true soon as I'm going back to visit the palms in November. Sport Book rocks as well there Odds are incredibly better then on the strip and on Monday night Football lotss of free giveaways. GOOD JOB GEORGE U RUN THE CLASSIEST PLACE IN VEGAS! |

2. Hard Rock Hotel and Casino

| We've stayed about 4 times at the Hard Rock, Each stay has been on a sunday which if you've read my other go lists is the best day to come and get a great room. My first visit was with a girlfriend and friends for her birthday it was a nice room the view was of the paradise road so not so hot but she booked through Expedia which I don;t recomend. Check out the Hard Rocks website you can get a room as cheap as $59 in November December. When you book direct it is a better bet. We have had the wonderful opportunity of staying in a suite the other 3 times and had a pool view on the higher floors. So awesome I can not express. The girls at the front desk are great and if you play your cards right and present a tip sometime you can get a top scale suite for only 59 - 99 bucks. We are talking the first time Jessica Simpson was there to celebrate Nicks 30th birthday they had her in the top floor bowling suite, we had the pleasure of being right next door in a beutiful teo room suite with amazing views. We even got the opportunity to see Jessica in the Love Jones store in the lobby. The suites are well worth the money even if you pay. The have a bar and liviing room with large screen tv, a half moon style round couch and french doors that open to the strip view, the bedroom also has the same french doors and a lovely huge bed with the most comfortable sheets blankets and pillows also a huge tv and the bathroom is amazing deep tub and double bason sinks. mirrors are everywhere and the purple styling is great. They use some updating on the hallways and carpets int he rooms. Where to eat: Mr Luckys 24/7 Yummy get the 777 special its not on the menu but u get a NY Steak & Shrimp, Garlic Mashed Potatos for only $7.77 it's great they also have great Hamburgers and Chocolate cake is to die for. NOBU is also pretty good sushi and I must say resaonably priced for Sushi restraunt that is nation wide famous. Ihad the Spider roll, spicy tuna, pretty good. Went to SIMON for a $13 martini it was very good and the restraunt looked like a nice place to go I hear it is one of the Hiltons favorite places. PINK TACO is very good food but everytime I go there the restraunt seems like it could use a really good cleaning always the bar area is filthy. All in all I like the Hard ROck, Ive never won any money here but I enjoy staying. Only problem is the Attitude of a lot of the people who work here are not friendly at all. that is a disappointment, with the acception of the kind Front Desk people and the Girl who worked at Cuba Libre the cigar bar was a sweetheart. We love the Pool at the Hard Rock but always seem to stay at the end of the year and its always raining or a bit cold. I love the rooms at HR the are worth the $ and time. |

We come to Vegas about 5 to 6 times a year. This is our yearly 4th Of July stay we come in on Sunday and stay through 4th of July. 4th of July is great weekend to visit. On the 4th the rooms in Vegas run cheap its my favorite summer get away. The Pool is my favorite i always play black jack in the pool it is a hoot my hubby and I have a blast. This year we got those Hurricane drinks that come in the big plastic football $12 but you get a huge drink well worth it. I love being poolside this tiem of year the huge waterfall in the pool is great and that whole area is nice to come walk around in the evening. Allthough it ranged from 104 to 108 degrees out which I took a photo of the thermomator. Tropicana is great you usually can get a good upgrade from the Garden rooms which are not great but not bad either. For $10 you can got to the island Tower Which I havent stayed in but friend of mine have and they say there are mirrors on the ceiling. But you have to walk to the very far back of the casino it is really outta the way. BEST rooms I think are the Paradise Tower Built first at the trop this tower is located just across from the front desk and near the main entrance. Easy access Nice rooms with a Fabulous view of the LV strip. Sweet talk em and they sometimes will upgrade u Remember to Tip them $10 or more at the front desk if they set u up good. Places to eat at the trop Hmmm I dont have a lot to reccomend, Im not really hot on the Calypsos and Ive been there several times why im not sure. Legends Deli is expensive and not that great either. Buffet Wont do it here Ive heard too many bad things, But you are in easy access to Excalibur, NYNY Hotel & Casino, & MGM Grand as well as fast access tram from Excalibur to Luxor and Mandalay Bay. MGM has Monorail access to all the stops as MGM is the furthest south the tram goes. I like it But i think it is a little expensive they need to lower tram fees. You may as well take a cab sometimes. I stayed at the tropicana in July 4 2005 walked by a machine and put in $3 pulled the lever and hit $200 WOW that is the most I've hit on a slot for so little in. I cashed that out fast and kept $40 and put the rest in my room. Smart move. Also hit a small jackpot on Nickle machines the Cleopatra ones are my favorite and $1 Blazing 7s. Back to the pool. Chairs are soemtimes hard to find but u can usually get a good one after a small hunt. I havent been to the COmdy stop yet but would really like to sometime, maybe next year. I won a ticket to Dirk Extreme Magic & also a ticket to Folies Bergie all on two seperate Pulls on the slot machine when you enter the trop from the MGM overpass. Nice and the good thing is these freebies are good til 12/31 thats good for me I'll be back in November not to stay here I'm gonna do downtown and the palms then But a free show I am there. Bellmen were excellent every stay as i always have 10+ bags. Front desk they are sweet but the whole process is slow please allow at least 45 minutes to longer to wait to check in, it's worth the wait. Maid Service EXCELLENT remember people leave your maids a couple bucks or more upon check out after all they really do the dirty work and people alwys seem to forget to tip them. VALET I don't really reccomend they are not super fast but not terrible. Plus there is a parking gargae a hidden gem just past the valet and to the left an underground on level garge park there its easy to get to or if your stayin in a garden room park on the open lot between the trop and hooters its safe we've done that a bunch too. We love the tropicana it suite sour needs and we hope the hold off on tearing this old gem for a long time as i hear the Stardust is clsoing for good in October. :( Too Bad. I Love the Tropicana and will return for sure it is where my husband and I stayed in a garden room for the first time we looked up at MGM and said wouldnt it be great to have a hauge part on one of those awesome terrace suites up there. Well less than a year later we were up there in the MGM in that very same suite and that party was my wedding reception. Yeah thats a whole other story. See MGM |

We stayed here for Nascar Race 2005. $159 a night what a rip off. Allthough I do love Ballys I will not stay there this year as the rates have risen to $359 for the same weekend. I LOVE THE SPORTSBOOK, as a matter of fact whereever i stay the first placce i visit is the Ballys Sportsbook and place my bets. It's a beautiful Book and so is ceasars. Then when I am done with my bets we walk accross the street to Battista's on Audry avenue behind Barbary coast and the old Closed down Bourbon Street. Battistas is the Best Italian on Earth and people get it while you can word is the Big Condo poeple have bought all that Propert and will be tearing it down anytime now up to next spring. I will miss that little gem of a restraunt. The menus on the walls the Photos of celbrites everywhere in the restraunt make it fun too. Ballys I dont gamble because I never win there. Sports is it for me. I like the Sabarro and the NY Apple (love the Pretzles) also there is a Hagendass. The restraunts are not bad the bUffet is good and I'm picky about the buffets. The sidewalk cafe is not bad. I loe the martinis dirty in the bar near sportsbook the guy with the glasses makes a great one and he is there everytime I go. The shops in Ballys are nice too. Get a North Tower room the elevators are nice you can avoid the casino and go to the poollevel to exit. Parking is a big stinker at ballys and I have nothing good to report for the Valets or Self Parking which is literally nonexistant. They want you to use Paris a mile hike or more away from your room. There is a monorail stop here which is nice we used it often, But its pricey. The rooms are always clean and nice at ballys the front desk I have no comment as anytime I stay at Bally's Flamingo, Ceasars, MGM I do the Airport Check In even if I didn't fly it is a lot faster and they usually will put you whre you want to be. Maid at Ballys good as well. remember to tip. I have not used the pool but my friends say it is great. |

I stayed here for the first time the day before I was to get married and I got married here we had a 4 day stay it was great. I flew in about 30 of our closest family and friends who all I booked a room at MGM. Our first night they were overbooked and out of the room we booked a bungalow suite good thing cause our friend got the bungalow it is not worth the extra $ however the Celebrity Spa suite they gave us in exchange was well worth the $. It is 2 room suite with mini bar and Large spa tub in the bathroom as well as a beautiful shower, Very classy and glamourus looking. Our view was of the airport but that was ok. Please note the MGM Grand is the very best smelling hotel and casino in Las Vegas Yes nicer smelling than Bellagio and Wynn. I don't know what they put in that air but it sure smells great. That evening we went to Excalibur for our rehersal dinner at the Regalle Italian eatery it is great italian as well with great wine list. The next day was the day of my wedding, we had breakfaast at the cafe at the Bellagio which was a very nice breakfast they have attendents for towels in the bathrooms. The food was good as well. We were married at 4 pm on a friday at the MGM Forever Grand chapel I must say they did a great job on my boquet it was beautiful, the chapel was nice and they whole presentaiton was great. The photographers were good too. The wedding planners there are most helpful with the whole process. We decided to spend our first night and have our reception on the 25th floor Terrace Suite with the huge 750 square foot patio for partying with a giant outdoor spa. The suite is a two story suite with bedroom upstairs and a living area downstairs remote curtains. views of vegas incredible. I wish they would let us add photos to this. Amazing for $1000 a night yes you heard me right $1000 and that was for a Friday night. We loved it they had tv in the bathroom you could lay in the tub and watch the tube. A beautiful bed and walkin closet. We had a full bar and set up a area for food as well. The next morinig we went to the MGM Grand Buffet it was the Chapange brunch very good and worth the $. We then checked into a Grand Tower regular room which was just fine too we stayed in that room for the remainder of our stay and I must say all the rooms are very nice here. We went to the Voodoo Lounge for a dinner with an amazing view if you get the chance at least go for a cocktail at the RIO Voodoo Lounge but go before 8 pm to avoid a cover charge. We also rode the NYNY Coaster nice fun but Ive had better at Magic Mountain. We dined at El Fornario at NY NY It is another great italian small portions and big price very yummy. We went to Game Works near MGM that is great fun to burn some time they have a lot of classic video games so if you have kids then u can play too and have fun. We went to ESPN Zone it is always jammed packed the food is never good so I havent been back in a while. I like the one in Disneyland better. TV s in the bathrooms are great there. We went to the Zuri bar which has now been renamed but it is that martini bar near the front desk and tower elevators main lobby. great bar but they are getting cheap went there this summer put in $20 and ordered a beer. I was told I had to pay for and that this bar no longer comped drinks. (then why do they have machines?) All in all the stay of my wedding was a dream come true for both me and my husband. We spent well over $25,000 at MGM on rooms wedding stuff and more. In the past 3 years I have never once received an invite back. I called and asked why this was and they told me I did not put enough money on my players card. I was gambling Alot but was in a wedding dress or some other fancy dress and was not carrying a card sorry. The pools are great there are 5 or 7 i think great way to stay cool. Whichcraf is a excellent sandwhich shop. I go everytime now i'm hooked. They have a nice little soup deli down there too. We ate at Fiamma and I don't reccomend it very expensive and not too great, MGM Grand WOK is OK I like the look of the restraunt more then the food Sushi just isn't what it is in California. Gambling not so hot here try downtown for good luck. Anyhow we returned to MGM the last November and told the girl at the front desk what had happened and how much we had put in there. She told me she was sorry there was nothing she coud do for us at all. A cheerleaders convention was in town and apparantly these children had higher priority than a returning customer. I was really sad and disappointed that we were put in such a basic room when there are over 5000 rooms and we checked in on a sunday slow night. Cheerleaders Rule at MGM and if your the Bride Enjoy it Because yes they treat u like a star but after that its over and they don't invite u back. I love the MGM but I'm not sure if I will return it holds some sweet memories. but the Hotel itself is very tight on generosity especially since places like the palms and Hardrock which don't have a quarter of the rooms MGM does have always offered me a suite everytime I stay. hmmm Whats going on MGM????? |

Stayed here for my 30th birthday. We did a upgrade we paid for but it gave us a Island Tower room I think and it had a incredible view of the strip one of the best I've seen ever looking south as usually i look north. Harrahs, Mirage volcano. It was on the 30th floor room 28 I think. Treasure Island it self was ok but kinda far outta the way. I didn't eat at any of the restraunts and didn't play n the casino. Mostly enjoyed the rooms. It was a nice one with nice canopy bed. Rooms are great casino okay. Would I stay maybe if they lowered the price |

Stayed here for nascar weekend not the best hotel but wortht he price the room is. Downtown is great everything is within footsteps. The Valet is great here give em a big tip they will keep it close if you ask. Front desk great, Elevator slow but ok. Rooms clean but not fancy at all. I recommend getting the newer tower. Didn't at alot here but there are great food at Golden Gate and Golden Nugget. Stay away from Fitzgerlads and four queens food if you can it's blah. Love Binions and it will be my choice place to stay and play when I go downtown 4 sure. PS Security is excellent at the Binions I feel very safe thereand they have response fast. We had someone past out in the hallway he was removed within 5 minutes quietly i might add. Thanks B |

| Satyed here with a friend back in 2002 the rooms were clean and nice but it was like a maze everytime you wanted to get to the casino and then another maze to find your way outta the place. This was troubling to me as it never got easy for us. Food here was not great gamnbling was nothing special. It is doubtful I would stay again but u never know like I said the room were clean But I need a guide with me in that place. And I've stayed in Mega resorts like MGM and never gotten lost. Go to SLot o fun for good luck and long slot play also have $1 craps |

Steayed here backin 2002 with a friend the room was decent however I get this feeling we were kinda lucky. Finding your elevators to rooms ws again a bit dificult. I like the casino a lot here and the restraunts and bars. People were friendly. This last July my hubby and I went and saw the Comedy show it was really funny and I haighly reccommend it. I don't recall having any Maid, Bell opr Valet service but I think we took cabs that trip. Kinda out of the was but slots of fun is across the street and Sahara right a hop skip and jump. |

And we like most of the restraucnt the itaian was great. They have bingo and great slots. Good fun we enjoyed it and the points systemthey have is great fast points on your card. I am adding this hotel as my sister stayed here in March 2006 we went to her room and they were nice. Corner Pyramid room had a great strip view you could see the people walking they could not see you a seperate living area from the bedroom adn a seperate Jacuzzi Tub area that was higher off the gground with slated windows Ithink it was a very nice room and would reccomend this. My sister could not lose at the Luxor either so I hear it is good to gamble. We went to the Luxor Steakhouse and it was overpriced and the food and servic was not great. No thanks to the Steakhouse. Nice shops and Liked hotel |
