Cruisin' Bermuda

Jul 21, 2006
1.5 of 5 stars based on 2 votes

The only cruise ship to run aground in Bermuda on a reef, and I am on it!
NCL told me in a letter that a 2 hour open bar was sufficient compensation for losing a whole day on the island and missing our booked excersions. Sorry, we're not drinkers, and try to get to the bar with over 1,000 people on the ship. We stayed away from that, not a relaxing vacation if you have to stand in lines.
Anyone going to Bermuda must see Horseshoe Bay beach. It is absolutely beautiful!

  • 1. Bermuda Snorkel Park
Snorkel Park Beach, Somerset Village, Sandys Parish

Great fun for the whole family. See the colored fish swimming with you.

  • 2. Horseshoe Bay Beach
Horseshoe Bay Beach, Southampton Parish, Bermuda

If you're looking for a beautiful beach this is the one. With the pink sand, the rock formations, and the coves it is breathtaking. The water is so clean and clear you can see the colored fish swim with you. There is also a snack bar, free showers, changing rooms, & restrooms.

  • 3. Boardwalk
    Ocean City Boardwalk, Ocean City

Fun for the whole family. There are some rides (not too many) for the kids, and lots of unique shops. It is a dry city so there is no bar hangouts. Close by is Atalantic City for the night life and gambling.
