We took a road trip from Bodrum up to Ephesus and stayed overnight in Selcuk.
Perfect place to start your day. This early in the morning, Gumusluk is still a sleeply little fishing village.
Head towards the airport and through Milas.
Lovely scenery near here. The road drives along the edge of the lake.
We drove around Soke.
After a long drive, it was good to head to LONG BEACH, in the southern part of Kusadasi. After lunch and a couple of swims, we headed through Kusadasi and onto Selcuk.
Arrived here mid afternoon
Overnight stay at this centrally located hotel. Lots of charm, and perfectly located for wandering around the town.
Excellent sightseeing. We spent about 1/2 day touring Ephesus. We entered through the south gate at 8.30am, and walked up to the north gate and then back down to the south gate where we'd parked the car. We left around 1pm.
Very photogenic. The most stunning archetecture in Ephesus.
These are a must see. It costs extra to enter the terrace houses, but well worth it.
After Ephesus, we drove to KUSTUR BEACH in the northern part of Kusadasi (about 3km from the town centre), for a few hours of sun bathing and relaxing before driving back to the Bodrum Peninsula
We followed the same route through Soke and Milas, and headed towards Yalikavak to watch the sunset, and then had dinner at the Paprika restaurant.
