The National Palace is an incredible piece of the city history.
It was built on the area where Montezuma's house had been built, that is Z�o square.
I'm speaking of a beautiful colonial building where, nowadays, are located many governative offices.
The Palace is also the subject of the opening sceenes of the movie realised on Frida Kalo's life.
One of the peculiaruty of this place is represented by the paintings realised by Diego Rivera, Mexican painter, politics and not only; his paintings tells to the visitor the Mexican history through images, starting from the origins and arriving to Marx's period and influence in Mexico.
The charme of this place is endless.

In my opinion, this is one of the best visited archeological locations.
The area is well managed and solid, there is a good number of places to be visited, each one with specific peculiarities to be discovered. Among all, I really loved for ita decoration the "rectangle of the nuns" and the pelota area that, even if quite small, had very peculiar decorations.
An othe rimpirtant positive detail: no standa and ambulant sellers, the turist will not be disturbed from the real aim of the visit.
