Jun 4, 2006  I've gone to Vegas so many times as a tourist that I've gotten to know what to look for from the TOURIST's view point. . . not those way off the strip places that only the locals can get to!

  • 2. Stay center Strip from less than $30/night
    http://deals.lasvegasadvisor.com/hotels

When I originally started this listing rooms were available at $25/night at Imperial Palace--now there are MANY rooms available on the strip for less than $30/night!
And who says Vegas isn't a bargain? YMMV plus don't forget that most properties are adding additional "fees" per night also. This link includes ALL of Las Vegas. . . updated DAILY!

  • 3. Keep busy with over 100 FREE Attractions in Las Vagas!
    http://www.vegas4locals.com/free.html

Over 100 free things to see or do in Las Vegas with many of them located on the Fabulous Strip! Trying to see even half of these could take days!

  • 4. $50 in FREE Play--Center Strip
    http://www.casinoroyalehotel.com/playersclub/

Sign up for the Casino Royal's Player's Club and get $50 in FREE slot play. Granted you do play on their "special" machines--but a friend of mind did this recently and said she had a great time doing it!

  • 5. $5 bucks off A-List Strip Buffet
    http://www.destinationcoupons.com/Nevada/Las_Vegas/spice-market-buffet...

Las Vegas is known for their buffets and one of the best is at Planet Hollywood--The Spice Market Buffet (name is a carry over from when property was named The Aladdin) Coupon is good for breakfast, lunch or dinner--but lunch is cheaper and runs until 3pm! Brunch replaces lunch on the weekends but includes champagne! YUM!!!!

  • 6. Discounted, Same-Day Tickets for Strip Shows
    http://www.tix4tonight.com/

You won't find 2for1 discounts to the top, top Vegas shows like Mystere, O, Ka, etc here but you'll get some great bargains for second tier type shows including: Nathan Burton, Jubilee, Legends in Concert, Human Nature, Crazy Girls, Penn and Teller--just to name a few. (not all available at all times) Top tier shows can now often be found at a discount of up to 40% off for day of shows! NOW 11 Locations to serve you! Day of purchase only--some available for next day.

When you're booking your 1/2 price show reservations, check out the half price meals available thru this well-known Las Vegas discounter! Menus and restaurants change constantly, but hey--1/2 price show and a meal? Only hitting a jackpot would be luckier!

  • 8. Great show for FREE!!!!
    http://www.harrahslasvegas.com/shows/big-elvis.html

Center strip at Harrrah's--the Piano Bar (just inside main door to Carnaval Court) is one of the best free shows on the Strip! Every Mon, Tue, Thur & Fri at 2pm, 3pm, and 5pm you can sit down just a few feet away and watch Big Elvis, also known as Pete Vallee. If you close your eyes, you'd swear that Elvis had NOT left the building! Also, in the same area they have Karaoke and Dueling Pianos with twin sisters. And when you're in Vegas at karaoke--you never know who might turn up!

The RTC's Deuce buses (double deckers) go up and down the strip all day at $8 for a 24 hour pass and $20 for a 3 day pass. Drivers usually will announce the next stop so you have an idea where to get off and you can stay on and ride all the way downtown to Fremont Street. Sure beats walking! ***Be aware that at many stops you MUST buy your pass from the vendor machine located at the bus stop.****
