Best of both worlds...quiet camping close to Key West

  • 1. Long Key State Park
    Long Key State Park, Florida Keys, Florida

    Long Key is the perfect place for camping in the Florida Keys. It is not a resort, and there is very little beach. This is a quiet place to camp if you love the natural Florida. If you want a large, "clean" beach this is NOT for you. This park is clean with great bathrooms, quiet and lots of wildlife. There is a small sandy beach at the end of the campsites which was perfect for us. Trails and kayaking available. Staff helpful, knowledgeble and nice. Can't wait to return.

  • 2. Bahia Honda State Park and Beach
    Bahia Honda State Park and Beach, Big Pine Key, Florida Keys

    One of the most beautiful places I have seen. Bahia Honda has a lovely beach, great view of the Seven Mile Bridge. Facilities are first rate with great bathrooms, picnic areas, hiking up to the "old" bridge, and wildlife.

  • 3. Key West
    Key West, Florida Keys

    Laid back, fun and funky destination. Something for everyone. Beaches are small, scenery beautiful. Plenty to do for anyone. Lots of restaurants and bars. Not the best for smaller kids. We went during Fantasy Fest. Fun, but glad we had a quiet place to return to on Long Key.
