Part of the Coronado National Forest. This desert oasis in the Santa Catalina Mountains offers recreational activities including swimming, hiking, bird-watching & picnicking. Sabino Canyon Tours offer narratedexcursions into the canyon aboard shuttle buses.
3. De Grazia Gallery in the Sun
Paintings, bronzes, and ceramics by artist Ted De Grazia are displayed. Next to the gallery is the Mission in the Sun, an open- air chapel De Grazia built and decorated with frescoes.

6. Jerome Historical Society Mine Museum
The park museum in the 1916 adobe brick Douglas Mansion traces the history of local mining and the family of James S. Douglas, developer of the rich United Verde Extension Mine in the early 1900's. A movie highlighting the history of Jerome is skown continuously. Picnicking is permitted.
Covering 35 miles on the South Rim on well-paved roads. The drives on the South Rim afford a series of incomparable views. $25.00 entry fee unless you have Golden Age Card.
Tohono Chul Park is a 49 acre desert preserve set amid a rapidly growing urban area. The park features nature trails, a Geology Wall, a Children's Garden, a greenhouse and changing art exhibits. Breakfast, lunch and afternoon teas with scones are offered. First Tuesday of each month is free entrance into park
9. Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum
In Tucson Mountain Park, exhibits more than 300 live animal species, including mountain lions, prarie dogs, gila monsters, hawks, bighorn sheep and hummingbirds in natural habitats. 2 miles of paths lead visitors through landscapes containing over 1,300 species of plants indigenous to the Sonoran Desert region.

11. Canyon de Chelly National Monument
Ruins from a succession of Native American villages provide insights into the Cultures of the tribes that lived in the caves and at the base of these red sandstone cliffs from 2500 B.C. to the present- day Navajo residents.
12. Casa Grande Ruins National Monument
The remains of the four-story "big house" built by the Hohokam about 1350 leave no clue to its purpose or the reason for the tribe's sudden disappearance a century later.
13. Chiricahua National Monument
This homeland of the Cochise and the Chiricahua Apaches is accented with precriously balanced boulders, spires and fantastic rock formations.
The site preserves the ruins of a Sinagua Indian pueblo occupied approximately 1000-1425. A visitor center contains artifacts uncovered from it's 110 rooms.
Vintage railroad cars take riders on a Western discovery journey to the majestic destination....The Grand Canyon. You have three hours to explore, have lunch, etc..You can chose to stay overnght in the canyon and take the train back a day or two later.
