1st of 12 trips to see all big 10 campus's and football games
1st stop on the big 10 football tour- Madison WI
We went on this tour, loved it. We have found doing a food tour or city tour is the best way to find out about a new place and discover new places we would have never found on our own.
This was our first stop on the food tour, met with the own. Great concept, pretty much all food is sourced locally and the prices are decent. We had a pork belly sandwich to split. So good the next night we went back for dinner. Packed, obviously very popular. We had the fried cheese curds and brick oven chicken. Excellent all around
no trip to Wisconsin wouldn't be complete without a trip the a cheese shop. Had a chance to try our some different cheese. Love to come back but the tour had to move on.
all i have to say is mac anc cheese pizza. my two favorite foods.
Another stop on the tour. Packed as it was football friday. But great place for a beer and brats.
What more can we say. The university is huge, but is well established. What a great college town. Came for our big 10 football tour. Fans were great, location great, what more can you ask for. Only wish I went here, but still a fan.
Last stop on our tour in which we traveled one lake to another ending a UW. They make their own ice cream on campus and it is delicious.
After a long day we reserved on opentable there. This concept is unique as it is a tapas style/shared plates. Very good, if you didn't know you were in Madison, you would think your in the chic/trendy city.
Tons of bars and places to eat including food carts. Walked up twice and as you walk closer to the campus the dynamic changes.
Our tour started here, parking was easy and provided some great photo's of frank Lloyd Write's life and work. Great views of the lake too
