Here are some of the best spots for skiing in the Alps, where I used to go with my husband when he was living in Geneva.
The most beautiful place to spend your vacations. Cars are not allowed in the village, so the only way to get there is by horse-drawn carrige (calèche). The ski is also great because the domaine is really high (around 3000 meter) so you've alway got snow. You can also go on the Matterhorn, one of the most impressive mountain of the Alps
Not so great to ski, because the resort is not very high (below 2000 meter). But the village is really nice, with lots of luxury shops. It is prefect for families. Famous artists used to go there. Among them: Jean Cocteau
A great place for teenagers. The village is inside the ski slope. Cars are not allowed. A lot of fun at night.
The resort is part of the highest mountain in France: Le Mont-blanc. Beautiful place to do "High mountain ski". But be careful the monster created by Frankeinstein went there to hide from men.
Nice little village in Switzerland, connected to one of the biggest ski area in Europe, Les Portes du Soleil. You can spend an entire day skiing without doing twice the same slope. You can also ski to Avroiaz, in France.
Les Arcs is composed of five villages: Bourg Saint Maurice; Les Arcs 1600; Les Arcs 1800; Les Arcs 1950; Les Arcs 2000, which vary in altitude. Depending on the weather you can always find some good snow.
The favorite resort of Geneva people. Nice place to party at night.
Nice laid back resort. It is high in altitude so very good for skiing.
Small resort close to Lausanne and Montreux. The slope are not awsome but it is a nice place for teenagers. Specialy in the summer for the music festival.
The name of this station is well know for all the "Tour de France" fans; because this station is on the classic stage in the mountain.
