The perfect week in Western Europe, at least for me. Fly into Paris and stay for 2 days, then train to Barcelona for a day, and finally train to Rome for 2 days.

2. Musee du Louvre

Start off day one nice and early at the Louvre. Eat lunch here and stay until well into the afternoon.
3. Eiffel Tower

Finish day one atop the Eiffel Tower and take in "The City Of Lights" in all its splendor.
4. Musee d'Orsay
Musee d'Orsay, Paris, Ile-de-France
Begin day two at a fantastic art museum and spend most of the morning taking it all in.
5. Arc de Triomphe
Arc de Triomphe, Paris, Ile-de-France
Finish day two at the top of the Arc de Triomphe and get in any last minute pictures of Paris. By the way, on the Tuilerie Gardens side of The Arc there is a tunnel that allows you to get inside the traffic circle so you don't have to run through traffic.

Another day, another museum. Only spend the morning here because I can stomach only so much Picasso at once.
8. La Boqueria
Mercat de Sant Josep de la Boqueria, Barcelona, Catalonia
Make a lunch out of the fresh fruit and veggies sold here.
9. Las Ramblas
Las Ramblas, Barcelona, Catalonia
Spend the rest of the evening in the gothic quarter.
10. Capo d'Africa Hotel
Capo d'Africa Hotel, Rome, Lazio

A 2005 TripAdvisor Traveler's Choice for Best Luxury and number 4 on the TripAdvisor popularity index for Rome, this place looks very comfortable.
11. Colosseum

Start off day one at the Colosseum and take it in before all the remodeling has gone full blown and you can't tell what's old and what's new.
12. Roman Forum
Roman Forum (Foro Romano), Rome, Lazio
Finish off day one at the Roman Forum and enjoy the ruins.
13. Vatican Museum
Vatican Museums, Rome, Lazio
Get up nice and early to try to beat the lines.
14. Trevi Fountain
Trevi Fountain (Fontana di Trevi), Rome, Lazio
If you've enjoyed your stay, throw a coin in and legend says you will return to Rome. If you didn't like it, throw in a bill.
15. Spanish Steps
Spanish Steps (Piazza di Spagna), Rome, Lazio
Finish off the last night of the trip by walking down the Spanish Steps and enjoying some gellato at the bottom.
