Beaches, Sand, Sun, Food, Great Vacation Spot
The public beach is great with lifeguards, clean bathrooms. Even a concesion stand where you can buy lunch or even sunglasses in case you forgot them. But if you want a more secluded area you can go north of public beach there are less people and it feels like its your own beach spot. The sand is the best in the world. You don't even need shoes its like walking on heaven.
The best is the price FREE!!!
Great for a day trip if its raining, or have had to much sun. Its a hands on experience. You can touch real Stingrays which is very cool. They have a shark habitat thats amazing. My kids loved the day and it was very educational without them even knowing they where learning. There is a fee but it is very well worth it.
A great place to eat while visiting Siesta Key. It is an always stop for us. We always go to the one in the village but there is one close to the Mote Aquarium you can eat waterfront which is really nice. The kids love the salty dog bites (there quite tasty for hot dogs been known to eat a few myself) Very low price for the atmosphere adn quality of food
Great place in the village to shop. We usally hit this place with the kids every day or so. Its a great place to buy souveners and stuff. The kids love it. We usally go for ice cream and then shop
A great place to get ice cream. Usally go after dinner most ever night and get the best ice cream ever. Get a cone and go about 3 blocks and walk on the beach with your ice cream there is nothing better in the evening
It is a quant place to stay. The prices are very reasonable and you stay somewhere with character. Its not condos or high rises. They have lots of properties all over the island, studios, 1bdrm, 2dm, 3 bdrms. Whatever you need to fit your family. They are clean and very helpful. We most always stay with them. Usally we rent different properties from them. We have never stayed in the same place any year. But you can't go wrong with them. Check out there website it is very informative. You can view all there properties
We can't go to Siesta Keys without visiting The Broken Egg for breakfast. We usually visit on our way out of town. It is a very unique resturant. The breakfast are wonderful and the people who work there are very friendly.
A must do when visiiting
The best place to go for sharks teeth. Its a short 45 minute drive south. All you need is a picnic lunch, sunglasses, sunscreen, ziplock bags. You just use you hands like your panning for gold, but your gold is the sharks teeth. A wonderful day to spend that doesn't cost much.
