Love to meet the local people and how they really live. Try to learn their language and customs while there

Lovely quiet resort. Local ppl wonderful. Employees are great and very grateful that we come. Enjoyed the Country Adventure Tour to go in the mountains and see a village. Enjoyed Horse Play as part of this tour which also gave us a short zip line ride and great lunch. Horse Play is owned by Canadians who have a counterpart in Niagara Falls, Ontario. The public beach we went to on this tour was simply lovely and is the Atlantic Ocean not the Carribean Ocean. The long ride into Santo Dimingo well worth the trip to see all the scenery on the ride in and the history of the country. Take both of these trips.

  • 3. Villa Islazul Don Lino
Villa Islazul Don Lino, Rafael Freyre, Holguin Province

The best secret in Cuba. Best place to relax and relax. Can meet Cubans by walking up the road. They will become like family. Enjoyed our trip to Holiquin with Hola Sun for $20 pesos included lunch and a stop at a local village, school, hospital, ration store ,etc. Saw farmers herding cattle down thru the street of town!!. If you get the chance to go to Santa Lucia with Junior from Don Lino to the restaurant and dancing at the open air disco GO. It is one Saturday Night only and we missed it this trip but will not miss it next time we go. I hear the food was great (seafood shrimps, lobster) and the Cubans love to dance. Enjoy a ride into the countryside with Osmeld or one of the other local horse and buggy drivers for a few pesos and learn some spanish on the way. Don't be shy to ask about things they will do their best to understand and answer your questions.
