this is my real experience happened on 15th-17th October 2011
Phuket trip was awesome..
There are many beaches.. 3 among them are the most visited by the tourists..
Those are Patong Beach ,Karon Beach ,Kata Beach ..
Patong is the busiest.. Wildest beach..
It has bangla road..Wellknown for the wild nitelife n shopping area..
They have alot of sexy girls doing the pool dance that u can see clearly from the road..
And a lot of lady boys wearing cabaret kind of clothes .. patrolling and offering themselves to take a picture together with you and will charge u THB100/person after that..
And they have many kind of Adult show.. wilder that u can imagine .. which we prefer to avoid.. :)
Beside the wild nitelife, along the Bangla Road.. there are a lot of shops offering many kind of clothes and accessories..
but I won't recommend u to shop here as all the stuff is expensive..
Patong has one famous shopping mall u have to visit the name is Jungceylon (read: jang-si-lon)
Its complete.. It has floating market which sell souvenir, local snack.. Fine dining.. cheaper local food at the food court.. 4D theater.. Electronic shops.. Spas.. Massage..
Karon beach famous with the tasty Seafood resto.. Less hassle than Patong beach..
And the quietest and relaxing beach is Kata..
Even its quiet.. They still has all u might needed..
We stayed in Kata beach.. @bluEco Hotel (read : blu-e-ko)..
Its new,modern,spacious,well designed hotel..
N quite cheap.. We spent THB 3000 for 2persons / 2nights.. Which we enjoyed much staying there.. even though the swimming pool is rather small , at least it has jazuzzi with very nice designed.
Nearby the hotel there is 7/11, so no worries if u need anything, just go there.. They have all we needed..
Even the best part is they served many kind of local food inside.. Awesome.. :)
In front of 7/11 there is local fresh market.. So u can buy their local fresh fruits there..
Especially the trade mark green mango..
And along the street u can find a lot of small local restaurants offering u local food with affordable prices..
We love the papaya salad n grilled chicken at Mr. Peter's Restaurant..
Mr.Peter is Sweden married to a local and he was very friendly and informative.
We called the restaurant Peter's Place since we forgot the restaurant name.. :)
We rent motorbike nearby hotel.. which cost us THB200/day.
So it was very convenient to explore Phuket..
We bought a 1day tour to Phi2 island which is famous because Leonardo Di Caprio been there for filming "The Beach".. at Best Friend travel agent at the airport.. For THB 1,100 per person, it was worthed as they sent us by boat.. N our lunch at the island was included.. And they provided us snorkling experience at the monkey beach.. Which is amazing.. and free transportation from the airport to our hotel.
We spent our night time went to Naka weekend night market at Phuket town.. Its 20-30minutes from our hotel..
Its offfering local food, souvenir, clothes, accessories with very cheap prices.. Don't forget to bargain..
We bought almost our stuff here..That's why u need to travel to Phuket during weekend to visit the night market..
Too bad we missed the chance to visit the Big Buddha because the limited of time..
This is considered as the icon of Phuket.. Whereas its nearby our hotel.. :(
Instead of visiting the Big Buddha..
We visited nearer places like Laem Promth Teph Cape (read : lem-phom-tep) famous for its breathtaking sunset view..
And on the way to this place we passed by "Kata View Point" which is also offering nice view..
We also passed the elephant Farm.. and saw an elephant walking on the road..
You can find the Thai Boxing / Mua Thai community easily a long the road..
Phuket also has spectacular shows that we decided not to go.. such as.. Phuket Fantasea and Simon Cabaret show..
In spite of our 3days 2nights were awesome.. We felt it would be better if we had more time to try the thai massage, spa, and visit The Big Buddha and etc..
But overall we were happy and enjoyed our trip a lot..
Thanks God.. for providing us very nice wheather during the trip..
