1. Sephora (perfume shops)
There's a series of lovely French perfume shops. The first Sephora I went to was on the Champs-Elysees in Paris (I was impressed with that - it was my first afternoon of my first day ever in Paris). The one in Annecy I need to go to because it's the closest to where I live at the moment (Nernier / Yvoire in Haute-Savoie, France department 74).
2. Parking in Annecy
as I'm driving I need to park. The last time I went to Annecy I parked in the 'Prefecture' which is an outdoor parking lot very near the 'Office de Tourisme' and across from the 'Champs de Mars' which is a green park by the lake in the centre of the city. It cost me about 5 euros for an afternoon parking (4 hours). There are nine parking lots in and around the centre of Annecy, they each have a name: Hotel de Ville; Republique, Bonlieu (next to Prefecture), Gare Sud, Carnot (in the centre of the shopping area), Parking de la Gare, Du Palaise de Justice and Courier. A lot of these are underground or covered.
The first time I saw Lake Annecy was in the middle of winter. The snow-capped mountains around it are marvelous. I also drove from Nernier (Haute-Savoie) so got a glimpse of Mont Blanc on the way.
