1. Edinburgh - the Old Town
The Old Town boast the crooked streets around the castle crag, 15th century houses along the Royal Mile, Holyrood Palace and the Scottish Parliament.
2. Edinburgh - the New Town
Edinburgh's New Town is a grand and elegant area of well planned houses.
A bustling town - at the end of the infamous Loch Ness.
This small fishing port is the jumping off point for the Inner and Outer Hebridean islands.
5. The Isle of Skye
Majestic and bleak in bad weather, heartstoppingly beautiful in good, the Isle of Skye is Scotland's most famous island, home to many malt whiskeys and great climbing.
The deep crevasse of the loch winds from Balloch north to Ardlui. Wind your way up the narrow lochside road, or stop and admire it from one of the many excellent lodges and inns along the way.
