Just basic ramblings about our first ever trip to Jamaica.
All-Inclusive 4*+ resort with it's own private beach. Extremely clean with friendly staff. Nightly entertainment, 7 Bars, 8 Restaurants, 2 pools, SPA, and daily activities. Our trip was an extremely postive one.
The falls are less than a 10 minute drive from the RIU. Definitely a must see/do in Jamaica. The climb is pretty easy and there are "guides" that will point out the safest routes. The water is very clean but colder than the resort pool or ocean. A video will be taken of your climbing adventure if you go up in a group with a guide. We felt the video was worth the $40. Shopping can be a little overwhelming if you don't know what to expect so skip it unless you are looking to buy something. We left the resort at around 9:45 a.m. and were back at about 12:05 p.m. in time for lunch.
The one sad part about our trip is we didn't get out more to see Ocho Rios. Since everything was included in our stay at the RIU, it felt like we would be wasting money to go eat or spend much time off the resort. Once place we heard a lot about and wanted to try was "Scotchie's". It is less than a 5 minute cab ride but we just couldn't get ourselves off the beach to go.
