With two central locations in Augsburg, this is THE spot to socialize with friends and family. One location is right on the Rathausplatz and has great outdoor seating in the summer. Another is just down the street on Moritzplatz and has ample indoor seating including several couch areas. Both locations offer free wifi, a great selection of drinks and a varying array of sandwiches, pastries and salads. Don't miss the Big Mama Cookies...they are awesome!

Another fantastic and funky place to get some good coffee and a light lunch. Housed in a historic building with a huge wooden table and several cozy seating areas, Aran has an eclectic mix of the historical (major Roman Caesars hang on the walls) and the modern (the tables with the fabulous red chairs are my favorite). Aran is famous for its earthy breads, but don't miss out on their cakes and their special drinking chocolate. A great place to sit back and chat with friends.

Off the well-worn tourists path lies this tiny, intimate movie theater. Inside is also a lovely, small two-story cafe. From the upper floor, you can peer into one of the projection rooms. Decor is done up with local artists and changes every few months. The menu is simple, seasonal, and wonderful. During the summer, they open up their outdoor seating area right next to the canal. It's absolutely enchanting. When walking into the building, don't forget to look down as you enter...
