Enjoy the solitude and beauty of Yosemite in a winter wonderland, with or without snow

  • 1. A short stroll in the Valley

    Choose one of these walks to get out and enjoy the beauty. Bridalveil Fall runs year round with at least some spray. Lower Yosemite Fall trail is wheelchair accessible. Cook's Meadow offers unobstructed views of El Capitan and Half Dome.

  • 2. Have lunch in the Ahwahnee Hotel

    The bar at the Ahwahnee Hotel is a great place to warm up with a bowl of chili and a warm drink while you enjoy the view.

  • 3. Off to Happy Isles or Mirror Lake

    Ride the shuttle to Happy Isles or Mirror Lake and enjoy strolling along the paths. In the late afternoon, the sunlight on Half Dome is wondrous.

  • 4. Ice skate under starry skies

    Curry Village Ice Rink offers many skating sessions throughout the day. Decide if you'd prefer to skate in the daylight when you can see the looming cliffs or at night under the stars. Be sure to enjoy a cup of hot chocolate by the fire.

  • 5. Snowshoe with a ranger at Badger Pass

    Ride the free shuttle bus up to Badger Pass and sign up for a snowshoe walk with a ranger. A donation of $5 is suggested.
