Conveniently located rear the Antwerp Central Station, the Lindner Hotel (used to be known as the Golden Tulip, it helps when you take a cab to go back to the Lindner) is a quite unpersonal but really comfy hotel. Bedrooms are spacious, large beds and soft sheets, wide showers and wifi in the rooms. Don't hesitate to take a huge breakfast at the buffet as it is included! But what I really like is the accessibility to the Central Station as you can reach your train's platform in 5 minutes as I did, besides the fact that you got an amazing view on the architecture of the new Antwerp Central Station's platforms.

2. Zuiderterras
Designed by bOb Van Reeth and built in 1991, this restaurant has an amazing shape who refers to the maritime architecture of the 1930's, a cylinder containing a staircase and a cube housing the cafe and restaurant, plus a beautiful view on the river Shelde. Can't tell you actually about the prices as I was invited but the meal was just perfect.

Lux was a quiet and luxury place with warm wooden panels where I had lunch on a Sunday. The service was a little bit long but worth it. Wine was perfect, the main course ray with vegetables was perfectly cooked and the tiramusi was actually yummy! Lux opened in 2003, housed in a former Polish house company headquarters with the idea to create an all-in-one venue for evening's entertainment: cocktails and appetizers at the long bar, dinner in the restaurant, and after-hours partying in the vaulted basement lounge. I guess I've got to come back one evening!

Didn't have the chance to taste the vegeterian food, but Ginger Love, a hot and healthy fruity beverage with a wonderful taste of ginger is something you've got to try. Especially on a chilly day. Besides the place is so friendly!

A cosy and friendly place to have breakfast or brunch before taking a walk in the streets around Cogels- Osylei to admire a block of famous Art Nouveau architecture. I like this kind of place where you can find newspapers or magazines and games to keep the kids quiet and busy while you sharing time with friends.

6. Bar Italia
In every European cities you can find Italian restaurants (some are really good others... actually bad) and in fact me and my friends didn't plan to go to Bar Italia. But it was Saturday night, restaurant were fully booked and we were welcomed there. With three floors, they managed to give us a table for eight where we shared delicious antipasti. I chose a risotto with seafood as my main dish and it was actually pretty good and not so expensive with the red Italian wine.
