There are 30 some-odd Vermeer paintings in existence. I'd like to see them all in person eventually.

One known painting was stolen! "The Concert" was taken in 1990 from the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum in Boston.

* Means I have been there and viewed the pieces, otherwise they are places I hope to visit someday.
* Rijksmuseum has 4, but they are 4 of the best - "The Milkmaid," "Woman in Blue Reading a Letter," "The Love Letter,' and the exquisite "The Little Street."
2. Picture Gallery (Gemaldegalerie)
* This Gallery has "Girl with a Pearl Necklace" and "The Wineglass, a Lady Drinking and a Gentleman."
Vermeer's "Christ in the house of Martha and Mary"
Contains three of Vermeer's paintings: "A View of Delft", "Diana and Her Companions", and his most famous "Girl with a Pearl Earring."
5. Gemaldegalerie Alte Meister
Both the "Procuress" and "Girl Reading a Letter at an Open Window" by Vermeer are located here.
Vermeer's "Officer with a Laughing Girl" and "Girl Interrupted at her Music" are at this location.
Herzog Anton-Ulrich Museum has "Girl with the Wineglass" in its collection.
Iveagh Bequest Kenwood House - houses the "Guitar Player."
Vermeer's "Allegory of Paintng."
The Louvre must not thought much of Vermeer and only have two (especially in comparison to the The Met). In the Louvre's collection are "The Lacemaker" and "The Astronomer."
The Met has the largest collection of Vermeers with five paintings; "Woman with Lute,"
"Woman with a Water Jug," "Portrait of a Young Woman," "Woman Seated at the Virginals," and "The Allegory of Faith."
Here you can find Vermeer's "Lady Writing a Letter,' "Lady Writing a Letter with Her Maid," and "Girl with a Red Hat."
The Royal Collection contains "The Music Lesson" on display at St. James Palace.
14. National Gallery of Ireland @ Merrion Square
"Lady Writing a Letter with her Maid" is located here.
The two paintings here sound very similar "Lady Seated at a Virginal" and "Lady Standing at a Virginal," yet they are surprisingly different even though they have been painted in the same room.
16. Stadel Museum (Stadelsches Kunstinstitut und Stadtische Galerie)
Location of "The Geographer."
