This is an itinerary for my ideal one-day stay in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.
Located very close to English Bay and Stanley Park and within the vicinity of grocery stores and restaurants, this gem of a hotel is the perfect starting point for a perfect trip to Vancouver.
If it is a big breakfast you are after, this is the place for you. Its bright atmosphere and cheery service makes Paul’s Place a great way to wake up and enjoy the coffee, with generous portions of breakfasts to suit most diets.
Teeming with theaters, galleries and a bustling public market, this cultural hub is a great place to explore the arts of Vancouver or do some shopping in the boutiques and bookstores in the area.
This 5.5 mile wall surrounding Stanley Park is a great place to stretch your legs and get a little bit of exercise while taking in the breathtaking sights of the Pacific Ocean and the park itself. For the kids, Stanley Park offers a number of great activities, such as the children’s farmyard and the aquarium.
This beach is a great place to watch people kayaking or scuba diving in the bay as you lay back and catch a few rays of sunlight. Strolling along the seaside paths you may meet interesting people or discover the tiny Inukshuks that anonymous artists are known to erect among the rocks.
This historic district is the oldest commercial district in Vancouver, filled with old buildings and interesting shops for souvenirs.
This upscale shopping boulevard is home to high fashion and elegant dining options. It’s a great place to search out the latest styles or to watch the street filled with people, known and unknown, drawn to the fantastic shopping.
Vancouver’s trendy warehouse district has become a hub of the city’s art scene and nightlife. Boutiques, cafes and plenty of great restaurants populate the area.
This Yaletown restaurant serves up delicious Thai and East Coast Fusion food for reasonable prices.
Crush is a chic champagne bar in Yaletown with a laid back atmosphere, making it a perfect place to relax after a busy day exploring the city. With an extensive wine and champagne list as well as a number of tapas on the menu, this is a great place to chill out to the jazz and down tempo music any night of the week.
