Best places to visit on a short, or maybe even a somewhat long stay in Munchen.
Five star hotel with plenty to do. Trader Vics and Garden Restaurant among best in the city - located right in the hotel. Excellent Jazz and Comedy clubs too. One can also enjoy one of the city's best spas, good shopping, and beauty shops on site too.
My favorite restaurant, located in the city center of Munchen. Wonderful service, and absolutely the best decor in town. Very impressive ceiling, walls, floors, etc.
Lovely outdoor bier garten you cannot miss. Located in the historic Englsicher Garten, the Chinese Tower beer garden is a must see when in Munchen. Great place for locals and visitors alike to meet.
Loved by locals, Augustiner brau has been a favorite in this beer mecca since the monks began brewing it in the year 1328. One of my personal favorites as well. Available in many places in Bavaria, I highly recommend seeing the brewery if you have the time.
A great place to spend a couple hours for both cars experts and novices alike. Museum is laid-out very well, with much to see.
My favorite gathering each year. The 200 year anniversary of the historic festival is fast approaching (2010), and I cannot wait! What began as a wedding reception in 1810, the Oktoberfest has become perhaps the world's most famous party. I am there each and every third or fourth week in September to celebrate with friends from all over the globe.
For fantastic beer, food, service with a smile, and great Bavarian atmosphere, you simply cannot beat the Weisses Brauhaus. Absolutely one of my 2 or 3 favorite stops in Munchen. I never miss this one folks!
