  • 1. Chocolate at Turin, Italy
    http://www.fioriocaffegelateria.com/

The chocolate, as we know nowadays was invented at Torino, by a local guy. First we use to drink it and this genius invented the process to turn it into a bar. Matter of fact, I heard that the belgians came to Torino to learn how to do it. There is a big fair , on March, just about chocolates. You could learn a bit more about it e you can but you may not, taste a lot of types of it. There is a place I like very much to go for an ice cream: it´s the Caffè e Gelateria Fiorio. Ask for a Gianduia Ice cream (just 2 euro). And enjoy it.

  • 2. Basilica di Superga
Basilica di Superga, Turin, Province of Turin

If you like to run, and are used to do more than 15 km, specially up hills, you should prove my favourite course when I am in Torino: from the Madonna del Pilone Church - at Corso Casale, until the Basilica of Superga, taking the ´Panoramica´or the Via dei Colli. You run over 14 km, 6 of them , tough up hill, and the rest of them not that easy. I use to leave my car parked in front the the Madonna del Pilone Church and then I run for about 6 km (mind the road) until Via dei Colli. Over there is , you can relax with the superb view of the Alps, the city. The road is sorrounded by big trees, wonderful colours that turn from orange to brown in autum, and sort of green in spring anf summer time. After 6 km you can see the enormous Basilica of Superga. There are still 2 km. Over there is a nice bar you should go after visiting the church - don´t loose the view from the top of the it. Take a break at the bar to eat and drink something and then take the ´Dentera´ a little train to go back down hill. Run or walk other 2km until the begin, at the Madonna del Pilone parking.

  • 3. Gran Bar della Gran Madre (Torino, Turin - Italy)

late afternoon, before going for a nice walk, leave you car at Corso Casale and take a very tasty Cioccolata calda (Hot Chocolate) at the Gran Bar. There are a lot of nice other things to eat ou drink, and besides, I lot of beautiful, stylish people to see. This bar is modern, but not so modern you fell bad. You could read the papers or a magazine, enjoying the magnificent view of Gran Madre, and the bridge that takes to Piazza Vittoro Veneto. Pay attention because if you pick a newspaper and sit down, you will pay more (from 4 to 6 euro for a Hot Chocolate).
