Great property for the vacationing family on a budget! Nice rooms with kitchenettes and a wonderful continental breakfast daily. Has some resort perks (spa, poolside bar, etc...) Great for a family of 4 to 6 in the 2 bed/2 bath suite!

  • 4. Coconut Joe's

Great little bar/restaurant along West Bay Rd in Seven Mile Beach area. Great atmosphere and fun staff. Wonderful wraps, burgers and wings! Great place for kids too - very kid friendly!!!

  • 5. Lone Star Bar and Grill
Lone Star Bar and Grill, Seven Mile Beach, Grand Cayman

Great TexMex place! Wonderful app's and great cocktails...pina colada is wonderful here. Very kid friendly and great choices for kids to eat. One of our favorites!

  • 6. Decker's Grand Cayman

Our favorite restaurant on Grand Cayman! Wonderful grilled caribbean lobster. My husband can't get enough of their bread either. More pricey, but worth every penny - CI penny that is! Fun outdoor seating by the doubledecker red bus and the biggest ceiling fan I have ever seen. Have not sat indoors, but it is beautiful - more formal. Not to be missed!

  • 7. Paradise Bar & Grill Grand Cayman

Great little ocean front restaurant in Georgetown. Good food and quick service, especially for Cayman! Kid friendly and great menu selections. If not to wavy, you can sit right out along the water. Fun place to rest your legs while shopping!

  • 8. Breezes by the Bay Grand Cayman

Another great restaurant in Georgetown. Located on the second floor of the old Landmark Building. Loved their cocktails - you can purchase the glass to go, it is a beautiful hurricane glass. Great app's - they have great fries! Sit out on the balcony and enjoy the view!

  • 9. Royal Palms Beach Club

My favorite beachside spot in Grand Cayman! Great cocktails, atmosphere and staff! Have been going there since '98 and have returned every year since. Can get busy on days with a lot of cruise ships, but is a lot of fun to people watch. Great lunch menu too...Mahi Mahi Sandwich is my favorite!!

  • 10. Stingray City
Sun Rays Tours, Grand Cayman, Cayman Islands

An experience NOT to be missed! Several different companies to go with, we have used Stingray City Charters in the past and had a wonderful experience with them. Not sure if they are up and running since Ivan though. Skipped the trip the last two years. Wonderful experience!!!

  • 11. Great shopping spots...

A list of some of our favorite shopping spots:

Pure Art just outside of Georgetown - best one stop shop for local art/jewelry/clothes, etc... A gem of a store!!!

    Latitude 19 in Georgetown

SunDog in West Shore Mall on Seven Mile Beach

Gift shops at Westin & Marriott are great too!

Check out Puro Rey for cigars - next to Deckers.

Wait on rum and rumcakes until you get to the airport for departure - great deals! My new favorite is Tortuga Vanilla Rum - AWESOME in a Diet Coke. Tortuga makes the best rum cake hands down!

  • 12. Grand Cayman
    Grand Cayman, Cayman Islands

Grand Cayman is by far my favorite destination in the world. It can be as relaxing as you want or it can be jam packed with activities. The beaches are beautiful with soft sugary white sand and the water is several shades of turquoise/blue/green - like nothing I've seen before. Snorkeling and scuba are world class and there are so many wonderful sites to explore. My favorite day is spent sitting on the beach relaxing with the hubby or playing in the sand and ocean with my kids. This is one of the safest and most family friendly caribbean islands there is! Paradise!!!!

  • 13. Rum Point
Rum Point, Grand Cayman, Cayman Islands

Great day trip around the island! Enjoy the scenic drive around the island, thru Bodden Town (the original capital of Grand Cayman), South Sound, East End and then North Side. Rum Point is a great little beach with volleyball nets, hammocks, beach chairs and picnic tables. Great restaurant/bar area. Outside food is not permitted, so enjoy the menu! Great for young kids as they can walk out pretty far into the ocean and it is shallow for a good 20 to 30 yards. We rent a car from Andy's and this is a great road trip for the day...about an hour drive from Seven Mile Beach.
