Living in Las Vegas for 11 years I have seen the growth not only in the new inhabitants but also with the city's entertainment. The city has become an adult's playground - ranging from topless cabaret shows to mega-nightclubs. Here are a list of my favorites:

This is a favorite among young and older rock enthusiasts. The casino and hotel are going through an expansion right now that is projected to be completed in 2010. The expansion is not interfering with the atmosphere. Be sure when checking in to request a newer re-modeled hotel room because they just renovated a lot of the rooms and they greatly surpass the older rooms which make you feel like your staying in a Motel 8. The new rooms are very rock modern with black leather couches, hip mod. wall paper and pictures of musicians on the walls. Room service is good and dining at the restaurants inside the Hard Rock won't disappoint. Try Pink Taco for a great margarita and their tempura battered fish tacos! Hard Rock is known for its pool which feels like an island resort with all the palm trees and the maze of different pools and jacuzzi. In the summer there is a pool party called "ReHab" and it is packed with young people dancing to the Dee-jays spinning house music and sometimes hip-hop. The line for this party is insane because of it's popularity and I would suggest talking to your casino host or VIP services from the hotel to see if you can bypass it. If you don't like a loud and energetic environment than the Hard Rock is not where you want to stay. If you want serenity and peace and quiet than I would strongly suggest not to stay here. The Hard Rock is great for meeting new people, the music/concerts that are held there and the lively atmosphere.

The nightclub inside the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino is known for their Sunday party called "Sunday School" where the waitress working the tables and serving drinks behind the bar are dressed in plaid skirts and knee high socks. They encourage guests to dress that was as well and you'll be able to drink free champagne all night. On Saturdays at the club they do "the Daily 10" which is a live broadcast with hosts Sam Masakela and popular DJ Clinton Sparx, of E! Entertainment News.
The club is very dark and has the feel of a British Rock Star pad, with leather couches, brass lining on marble tables, dark wood and an amazing disco ball chandelier. The club is huge and two stories with tables you can purchase overlooking the dance floor - or if you prefer - right on the dance floor. There is also a side room downstairs called "the Parlor" that has a separate DJ from the main room and who is usually spinning house music. This room sometimes hosts celebrities that want to have their privacy but still see the crowd outside, accomplished by two way mirrors that allow those inside to see out but the crowds outside not able to see in.
A great club to go to in Vegas and still going strong after 4 years already.
This is a great mall conveniently located right on the Las Vegas Strip. The cross streets are Spring Mtn and Las Vegas Blvd and this mall's neighbors are the Treasure Island, Trump Towers and the Wynn Resort across from it. A great place to find your "outfit" for a night out on the town . The mall has featured runway model shows on weekends and they are free. I believe they are every hour up until 7pm. The mall has 2 great cafe's that I have to recommend. The first being the posh Neiman Marcus Cafe accessed through the department store but seats overlooking the Las Vegas strip. The food is good but also pricey as far as cafes goes. (your paying for the view) The second is the Nordstrom cafe that has a elegant cafeteria feel where you order food and watch it being prepared in front of you then place on your tray and pay at register. The food is really good here with great carved sandwiches, soups and flat bread pizza. This mall gets really busy during holidays and in the summer but it is big enough to accommodate all the tourists and locals alike for their shopping needs.
