The walk starts the centre of Eastbourne along the promenade by glittering blue seas, passing Helen's Park with time to stop off for an icecream before heading along the Steel Road with impressive sea views and rolling downland. There's a steep climb up to the top but the views when up there are really worth the extra effort. The first sight of Beachy Head from the top of the cliff is spectacular, everyone tries to stand at the edge for photos. The surrounding downland is beautiful, lush green and full of flora. The pathways are well maintained and an easy walk to Belle Toute lighthouse is also recommended.
2. Seven Sisters Sheep Centre
Family run visitor attraction displaying forty often rare breeds of British Sheep. Great day out for kids where they can feed the animals, educational displays also. Not to mention great walk frm Eastbourne, via Beachy Head and Burling Gap
The Seven Sisters form part of the chalk cliffs of the South Downs, well worth walking those extra miles to view their outstanding natural beauty from Burling Gap, also accessible from bus route for those unable to manage lengthy walk from Eastbourne
