Africa has still a wilderness as nowhere else in the world. Huge parks where lions, giraffes and elephants live together are too be discovered on a safari trip.
Kenya is the premier place for safaris with famous reserves such as Masai Mara. To be watched in particular: the migrations taking place between August and November each year.
The Seregenti National Park and the Ngorongoro crater are amazing reserves to enjoy wildlife, in particular during the annual migration. On top of safaris, hikers can enjoy climbing Mount Kilimandjaro and sunbathers will love spending a few days in Zanzibar (island just off the coast of Tanzania).
My next safari destination is for sure the blue waters of the Okavango Delta and its elephants.
Kruger National Park is world famous for viewing the "big five" but South Africa also offers alternate gems such as Hluhluwe-Umfolozi game reserve, the Drakensberg mountains or the Kalahari desert. In addition, Cape Town is a place to see on a trip to South Africa.
Great Destination for safaris but also to enjoy impressive Victoria Falls.
Less known than other Southern African countries, Namibia offers stunning views in the Namib desert as well as wildlife in reserves such as Etosha National Park.
Victoria Falls, wildlife viewing in South Luangwa National Park or canoe exploration on the Zambezi river are some of the treasures that Zambia has to offer.
The Destination is dominated by the tranquil waters of Lake Malawi, a UNESCO World Heritage Site long of more than 300 miles. Malawi also has several national parks to enjoy wildlife.
The forests of the 'Pearl of Africa' are the best spots to wait for long hours to see gorillas. Splendid and wild Ssese islands on Lake Victoria are worth seeing as well.
Rwanda is an alternate Destination to watch gorillas.
