After living two amazing years in Rome, these are the things I would do if I had to stay there again for just one day.

1. Start the day with fresh fruits and flowers at Campo de' Fiori
My favourite place in Rome, between piazza Navona and the villa Farnese. The market here is so picturesque. Feel the village atmosphere while drinking an espresso at one of the several terraces.
Walk in the steps of Julius Ceaser and imagine the antique life in the roman forum. It's just incredible!
3. La Bocca della verità
If you've seen Gregory Peck and Audrey Hepburn's laughters in Roman holiday you will certainly want to put your hand in the mouth too.
4. Baffetto: the best pizza in town
Bafetto is an institution in Rome. A very casual typically roman place with excellent pizza for very little money.
Hang around in the lively and lovely streets of this typical district. Visit the beautiful church Santa Maria In Trastevere and have a café at San Calisto.
Don't pay attention to the hordes of tourists, admire the beautiful Pietà -among other masterpieces - by Michelangelo, and the huge church itself.
The park is beautiful and the museum, specially the Bernini gallery, inside the historic house is absolutly stunning.
Before dinner, have a Campari with olives in this beautiful bar, one of the oldest in Rome, at two steps from piazza Navona.
This restaurant is one of the hippest in town. It is decorated in a very modern style, the food is simple and excellent, the wine and cheese selections are great.
