It's greener than you think in Palm Springs. Also, it's the only time of year the heat is bearable. Lots of fun for the kids
Full of interesting desert animals for kids, also beautiful desert gardens for adults to admire. The zoo is compact, and the recreated African village is fun for kids.
This place is weird, beautiful, silent, and interesting all at the same time. Kids of all ages will want to hike all over the place. One warning, it really is possible to get lost here, so don't let them go too nuts.
When it gets too hot, young kids will have a great time at this hands-on place, where they can paint a car, destroy old electric stuff, and shop at a really cool kid-sized grocery store.
Amazing selection of cacti that kids and adults will find fascinating. Beautiful desert flowers, which you can't see at any other time of year. Several resident iguanas also help give this place a fun, rather prehistoric feel. A bit tricky to find, but worth it.
