1. Black Hills Central Railroad
| A great relaxing railroad ride from Hill City to Keystone, SD. |

| Great place to visit. Don't miss their main street with their daily gunfights. The cemetery is also worth a visit. |

| This State Park has it all. Buffalo and other wildlife, lakes, hiking trails, scenic drives, lodges and restaurants. You could spend several days in this state park alone. I loved going to Sylvan Lake. |
4. Mount Rushmore National Memorial
| Make sure you take the trail at the base of the mountain. |
5. Pine Ridge Reservation
| I loved driving around the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation. You can visit the cemetery and massacre site of Wounded Knee. There are a couple of museums on the Reservation; one at the Oglala Lakota College in Kyle and one in the Red Cloud School at Pine Ridge. |

6. Badlands National Park
| We loved this place. We could have probably spent a week in the Badlands alone. Lots of hiking trails and scenic drives. Make sure you get of the paved tourist roads and take some of the gravel backroads. |

| Yes, I know it is a big tourist trap, but it is still a fun place to go with your kids and to get a couple souvenirs. My kids loved the back area where you could pan for gold, see a mechanical dinosaur, and use their play area. |
