Great websites for inexpensive bookings. Great places to go with friends

  • 1. Keystone
    Keystone, Colorado

Nice area for first time skiers and advanced skiers. We stayed in River Run Red Hawk Lodge which is an easy walk to the slopes. Long slopes but gets crowded on weekends..

  • 2. Lodging

We found a great deal on a 2 Bedroom, 3 full bath condo in River Run. Definitely check out this site when booking your trip. Rental #152525. We slept 8 people in this condo. It was tight but everyone had a bed and if all you are using it for is sleeping it's perfect. It has 3 full baths so no waiting to use a bathroom. Very close to the slopes!! Easy walk in your boots even for someone sick with the flu and having trouble breathing.

  • 3. Inexpensive lift tickets and ski rentals
    http://www.snowventures.com

We found a great price on ski rentals. Lilly at snowventures hooked us up with a deal!! We got free ski rentals from Christy's with our lift tickets. The cost was $232 total which is about the same as the internet discount rates we were finding on other sites just for the lift tickets alone. You have to call her direct at snowventures. Their website doesn't show the deal.

  • 4. Flights
    http://www.destinationgirl.com

This is the best place to scan websites offering flights within the US. You can find the lowest flights offered from the airlines themselves and from discount sites. It's never been a miss for me.

  • 5. Green Light Bar
    http://www.myspace.com/greenlightkeystoneco

We came in every afternoon to get a cocktail after skiing. You can rent a basket for the day $6 and leave your belongings. Good place to unwind!

  • 6. Kickapoo Tavern
    http://www.kickapootavern.com

This is a great place for lunch, supper or to unwind after a long day of skiing. Good drinks, nice atmosphere. The food is not as expensive as other places. Good nachos, caesar salad, and pasta. Avoid the steaks.

  • 7. Haywood Cafe

This is a great place for breakfast. Best Bloody Mary's you've ever tasted or seen! I'm not exaggerating either! The breakfast is good too. It's kind of pricey for breakfast and the service is slow but definitely check it out. It has a business center and Wi-Fi. It's in a shopping center at the front of River Run.

  • 8. Sunshine Cafe
    Sunshine Cafe, Silverthorne, Colorado

I ate here on the recommendation from friends that visit this restaurant every trip they make to CO. YOu will not be disappointed. EXCELLENT BREAKFAST AND SERVICE! It's a little ways from River Run but so worth it. Our party of 7 was very pleased! Order the fresh squeezed OJ.
