"Police in the lobby, blood stained sheets, filth, horrid staff. Our room looked as if it hadn't been cleaned in about 18 years. I have never in my life seen anything like this. My jaw actually hit the ground. After checking in we lasted about 5 minutes and demanded a refund. If we had not have had somewhere else to stay, I would have stayed in a homeless shelter instead of Hotel Carter, at least they change the sheets there."
2. Ramada Niagara Falls
"Holy crap, where to begin! The slow elevator, the stink in the halls. The filth in the room, the nice dangling ceiling buddies SPIDERS! The extra guests in bed with you spiders and other bugs. Exposed wires, holes in the walls, no thermostat cover, the small dingy bathroom complete with dried urine! Never I have I experienced such a place. They need to shut down, renovate, close condemn, or burn it down! DO NOT STAY here!"

"PLEASE listen to all of the reviews! This hotel should not be taking money from people! I would not allow a junkyard dog to stay at this place! It is filthy! My kids walked without shoes for 2 minutes and their feet were black! It smelled horrible and was absolutely the worst place we could have stayed! Everything about the room was nasty, the bathroom, the walls & ceiling, the carpeting. The elevators worked about 20% of the time, there was NO ice to be found in the entire hotel, there were dead birds in the hallways and stairwells, it rained and the halls had puddles, the ceilings were leaking and the horrible smell got worse! I can PROMISE you that you will be disgusted like never before."

"The room was stale and musty smelling, ciggarette burns everywhere, TV cable didn't work, no phone service, very very very nasty bathroom, trim falling off the walls and many more things to numerous to name in this review. ...This really ruined our trip and I would not recommend this dump to anyone, not even hookers or truckers."
5. Regency Inn & Suites
"Filthy room: rugs disgusting, ripped walls, base boards separated from the walls, no batteries in remote, no working light bulbs, window cracked, view of brick wall, halls and elevators could barely fit luggage (no exaggeration).......then when we pulled the sheets back ......BED BUGS!!!!! GROSS!!!!!"

"This place was infested with bugs, room was not ready until 7:00 at night, had to buy my own sheets and comforter because the ones provided were filthy and old, part of the wall was missing over pipes in kitchen area. Please believe that I am not picky, but this place was repulsive. Find somewhere, anywhere else to stay!!!! Trust these reviews, I wish I would have!"

"I do not know where to start. The minute we walked into our room we noticed that everything in it was wet. The ceiling was black and the wall paper was coming off the wall. We were shocked that we didn't find a dead body under our covers. The toilet did not flush, our tv remote did not work, and our air compressor in our air conditioner was broken so it just blew moist air (not to mention the rust all over the A/C unit). The room smelled like a middle school locker room. The vending machines took my money without giving me a soda."
8. Eden Roc Motel
"To begin with, the rugs were dirty, the conforter had fresh blood and mold stains on it, the towels were ripped and had hair on them, the bathroom light did not work, the light switches did not work, there was no remote control, no telephone, the pool had a broken bottle in the bottom of it, the refrigerator was dirty, the sheets looked like they had been slept in, there was no shampoo, etc. That's just for starters."

"This was the worst motel/hotel I have ever stayed in. The place was filthy. There were broken glass, beer bottles, and trash laying around everywhere. The outdoor pool was green and we could actually see the algae growing in the bottom of the pool. The room itself wasn't much better. Mold in the bathroom, and dirty sheets!"

"We arrived at Santa Monica very late and this was the only place with a room available. We nealry died when we saw the room. The matresses were like something in a prison. Homeless people lurking outside the door and bars on the bathroom window. Bathroom awful. Luckily we found alternative accomodation aroud the corner and demanded a refund! Don't go there!"
