This list is for those of you who enjoy active and exploratory vacations. Get the most of Seattle on your next trip by taking a day trip to Victoria, Canada too!
The W Seattle is centrally located just 2 minutes from the main shopping center and about 8 minutes walk from Pike's Maket Place. It's an ideal location for the hotel. Grab a complimentary apple on your way out and enjoy a mini doghnut with iced tea on your way back in the late afternoon.
Walk through the market place and enjoy the energy and arts and crafts of this world famous market place. This is definitely one of my favorite farmer's market. I love the jellies and flower bouquets sold here.
Enjoy an authentically French breakfast at this bakery. Have a coffee eclaire and a hot chocolate.
After walking around the market place and taking in the views of the harbor from up high. Grab a cheese toasted sandwich at Beecher's Handmade Cheese. It is absolutely delicious! Their mac and cheese is supposed to be really good too, but I did not have a chance to try it.
I would not recommend this tour. However, I do recommend you take a walk down to the area where this tour is located. It is located in Old Downtown Seattle. It's quite charming and the architecture is beautiful. Reminiscent of the classic Metropolitan signs in Paris, France.
After Pike's Market Place and Old Downtown Seattle you'll have worked out quite an apetite. And even more so if you visited the Experience Music Project near the space needle. So after a long day, have the best lasagna in the world at the Pink Door. I highly recommend this restaurant. The ambience is incredible - Italian/French cabaret and romantic.
On your second day in Seattle. Take a hydro-plane from Seattle to Victoria, Canada. The flight is approximately $99. This is a great way to get to Victoria. You don't have to deal with the long lines of the catamaran and the customs line is much shorter - 8 vs. 300 people.
Stroll around canada. Visit the old town, the quai and the governmental building. MAKE SURE YOU HAVE lunch at REBAR MODERN FOODS:
50 Bastion Square, Victoria, BC
(250) 361-9223
They have the best vegetarian food I've ever tasted. It's a must have. No joke.
Enjoy afternoon tea and pastries here.
