1. Oriental Theatre, Ford Center for the Performing Arts
We saw Wicked at the Ford Center in October, 2007. This is a beautiful old theater, worth the trip, even if you are not seeing a play.
Wonderful zoo in a beautiful setting. Variety of animals. Very easy to get around. Price can't be beat...it's free! Spend some time in the park while you're there.
Shopping! If you love the high end stuff, this is the place to go! Even if you don't, it's fun to be there and watch all the people.
4. John Hancock Center / Observatory
Fun, affordable place to see all that Chicago has to offer! View the city from high above. See lake views as well as city views. Price is good, only $11 and you can stay up as long as you like.
Beautiful park, an easy walk or bus ride from Michigan Ave. hotels.
6. Chicago Lakeshore
Take a walk on the pedestrian path along Lake Michigan in Chicago. If leaving from the zoo, walk down 3/4 mile to North Ave. Beach. Oak St. Beach is 3-4 blocks south of there. You can cross back over Lake Shore Dr. on pedestrian walkways all along the route.
