Cycling with surprise on secluded Hilton Head Island

May 5, 2006  Recently returned from a trip to Hilton Head where we've been visiting for the past 15 years.

Terrific biking along the beach and throughout the beautiful trails of Hilton Head Island.

    Hilton Head

    Hilton Head Island is located in the Low Country of South Carolina, some 45 minutes north of Savannah, Georgia. Savannah is the closest major airport, but Hilton Head also has a small airport of its own.

    Bike rentals are very reasonably priced. You shouldn't have to pay more than 25 dollars per week. The bikes have wide wheels which enables you to cycle smoothly along the 12 miles of clean, white beach.
