I arrived in LA on Oct. 2nd. This is where I stayed for the first few days of vacation.
What a strange restaurant. This one was across the street from my hotel. I ate there after I arrived in LA. There's a fake bull to ride, and a bar.... and live pigeons walking inside??!?!
3. My Stuff Bags foundation volunteer time
My first morning in Los Angeles, I spent a few hours volunteering for this organization (Westlake Village, CA)
4. José Eber Atelier
Loooooooooooove this salon.... the flagship salon... the one I went to... is in the Via Rodeo complex at the intersection of N. Rodeo Dr. and Dayton Way
My 2nd and 3rd days in LA were spent at this endeavor. Very long days, but very interesting.
A number of IHOPs are listed in Trip Advisor, but not the one I went to. The one I went to was at the intersection of Sunset and Orange.
Ah, yes, Beverly Hills.... Went to visit several times while I was out there!
8. Frittelli's Donuts in Beverly Hills, CA
The number one donut shop in America.....
9. Denim and Diamonds event for ACT Today
Went to a charity event in Hidden Hills, CA. An amazing experience. Never been to anything like it!
On the Sunday (5th day of vacation), I drove to Vegas.... via Death Valley! This was the restaurant that was my lunch stop.
11. Death Valley National Park
Incredible place. Make sure you bring an emergency kit with you... just in case. Bring water and snacks as well. There are miles with no one around, and complete silence. Silence so complete... it's almost deafening!
For once, I was glad to see other HUMANS around!
I saw sunset at Zabriskie Point. Incredible geological formations...

Stopped over to check for news on Celine
Between finally being able to pick up my Ronn Lucas ticket and the actual show, I had some time on my hands. Decided to go to the Shark Reef at Mandalay Bay
Saw Ronn Lucas on Oct. 9th
21. Star Trek: The Experience
\\// Live long and prosper. There were a couple of things you could enjoy at this attraction... 2 "rides", a backstage tour, 'museum' and Quark's restaurant. I got there too late to fit in Quark's restaurant. (it was closing by the time I finished with all the tours and rides). The Klingon ride was better than the Borg on, in my humble opinion.. because of the bridge of a certain ship. *sigh*
This was the organization that took me to the Grand Canyon on Oct. 11th.
I came about this one by accident. I was so mad at Vision Air for misdirecting me to the wrong hotel bus after the tour. I had to find transport between Mandalay Bay and my hotel (the Platinum). I took the free monorail between Mandalay and the Excaliber, pedestrian walk to the Tropicana then the MGM. That's where I saw the big kitties displayed.....
Thank heavens I could use a credit card to get on the monorail... saved me some walking!!
25. Ethel M Chocolates Factory and Cactus Garden
Yummy!
26. Celine Dion - A New Day
A most incredible show!!!!!!!!!!! I was soooo happy when I found out the show was a definite 'go'!!!
Fresh made crepes in this incredibly themed restaurant. Miniature French village indoors.
30. "World's Largest Gift Store" Las Vegas, NV
Couldn't resist looking and shopping
31. Grand Canal Shoppes at The Venetian
