Just went to Destin with 1 yr old and 3 yr old in tow, they had a great time and so did we!

  • 1. Edgewater Beach Condominium
    Edgewater Beach Condominium, Destin

Perfect place to stay with younger kids. The kiddie pool was excellent, very big and room enough for kids and parents. Probably 2 feet deep and 10 foot in diameter. During the early morning the condo next door kept the area shaded. The two larger pools were nice also and had a waterfall and shaded portion for staying out of the sun.

  • 2. Destin Commons Mall

The playground was wonderful, the nautical themed climbing equipment was fun and soft. In the late afternoon there was a nice shade from other buildings. Make sure to bring a swimsuit (family bathroom/changing area nearby) as the kids will definately want to run around the huge splash area. The fountains spring up all over the place and you never know when one is coming! Plus all this is free!

  • 3. Village of Baytowne Wharf
    Village of Baytowne Wharf, Destin

The kids will love the playground area and lots of things to see. Stop in the candy store or the toy store if you want to spend a little money, they won't want to leave either without something to remember it by.

  • 4. The Track Family Recreation Center

Big Kahuna's is still too pricey for preschoolers to enjoy, nor do nap schedules provide a whole day to enjoy. The Track is a great alternative if you are looking for something the whole family can do. We played a round of mini-golf and under 3's are free. Our one year old went around on the stroller (take the island course-fewer steps) and both of them liked looking at all the animals and waterfalls. Then we let her ride the merry-go round and the whirly swings. Their "Kids Country" had 7 different rides that smaller kids would enjoy. The inside game area was fun and she enjoyed collecting the adults tickets to earn a lollipop.
