1. Isla Mexican Kitchen and Tequila Bar at Treasure Island
Fantastic, if a little pricey. The guacamole with Lobster bits mixed in was an excellent beginning, and the chicken tacos were great. My daughter had the cheese enchiladas, and said that they were excellent as well. Be ready to spend a little more than your average Mexican food restaurant, but you will be getting much better food for your dollar.
Rip-off Casino; They give you this sheet of coupons, most prominent being a $50 slot play coupon simply for presenting the coupon to the hostess outside the club door. What you don't see is that the $50 is restricted to about 12 machines, so those machines are almost always occupied. In addition, you can't cash out on these machines unless you hit a "large jackpot" according to the label on the machines. Not sure what "large" means, but no one apparently hit one while I was there, because I never saw one single person get up from a machine with cash or ticket in hand. Chairs are nasty, casino is cramped and smoky with not much variety. Don't waste your time.
3. Rat Pack is Back
Impersonator show based on an actual show at the Sands Hotel in the 60's. Performers represented are Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Sammy Davis, Jr. and Joey Bishop. These guys not only resemble and sound like the originals, but they have the same hilarious interaction with each other and the audience. The show was excellent and we would definitely go again.
Free show in the lake in front of the Bellagio. The fountains, which can shoot water 15 stories into the air, air correographed with the accompanying music. Can't beat this for a free show, and I've seen a lot worse and paid for it.
