This route travels North/South from Homestead to Key Largo along the waterway. It is a toll road and does not accept Sun Pass. You will see wildlife, houseboats, old time Keys living. Beautiful ride along the waterway that you may miss if you didn't know it was there.

  • 5. Redlands Farm Country

The area between Florida City/Homestead and the Florida Keys is known as the Redlands. It is a huge farming community that was established many years ago. Known for its small farms, agriculture, and trees/plants/orchids. There are local stands and farmers markets during the weekends and each day. There are small restaurants that prepare their vegetables/fruits. Very interesting. Look on line to get the history of this piece of history you may otherwise miss.

  • 6. Farmers' Market Restaurant
Farmers' Market Restaurant, Florida City, Florida

  • 7. Redland Rib House

This is a BBQ joint just North of Homestead on SW 177th St. The best ribs you've ever tasted with friendly service. Good stuff to take on a picnic to one of the National Parks.
