Three storys of fun and interactive exhibits including a full Japanese house in the Fort Point Channel. Simply a head above most children's museums.
America's first public garden has a childhood favorite, Make Way For Ducklings ducks in bronze. The youngest of your set will love to climb on one's back…great photo op too.
Hours could be spent here with family enjoying the varied interactive exhibits and shows. The dinosaur area is particularly popular.
4. Boston Common Frog Pond
Another oldest park in America, Boston Common is the site for history but also for its Frog Pond and Playground. In the summer months the pond is a wading pool and in the winter an ice sakting rink, so no matter the season the family will enjoy activities here adjacent to Beacon Hill.
Whether strolling or roller blading, the trails along the Charles River offer beautiful views. There's a very nice new playground near Back Bay as well as the famous Hatch Shell which offers live entertainment of all varieties in the warmer months.
Particularly tasty pizza on Beacon Hill's Charles Street that will satisfy the spohisticated to the simple palate.
Explore the Boston harbor via a ferry to these islands including Georges Island which is home to historic Fort Warren.
Very popular with good reason, the New England Aquarium has one giant tank in the middle that you walk around to view various sealife, even sharks, at its most natural. The penguin exhibit is full of fun and frolic at feeding time, too.
9. Legal Seafood
With a nice selection that won't break the bank, the whole family will find tasty fresh seafood at one of local chain Legal Seafoods many locations.
Revolutionary history and great Italian food meet in the North End. It's a neighborhood with a lot of character and charm.
The site of "one if by land…" the Old North Church and nearby memorial is impressive to young and old alike.
A jaunt over to Harvard Square reveals shops, libations and delicious food as well as myriad street performers on warm summer evenings. The acrobats will thrill and delight all ages.
One of the finest collections in America and includes historic colonial portraits that will please history buffs as well as art enthusiasts.
Who of any age can resist an overview of historic Boston that ends with a splash? Amphibious vehicles driven by colorful characters make the whole scene fun, informative and interesting for the whole family.
It's loud, its flash and it has Aerosmith memorabilia. One doesn't have to be concerned about how loud the kids are here and the food is pretty tasty too.
