Toronto - less well known excursion, without the tourist price tag

University of Toronto is seldom well explored by tourists, yet it is a hidden gem, with many near by attractions, a theatre and dining.

    It is not well known, but University of Toronto has free walking tours of the campus. Visit sites like University College, established in 1850, which is said to have ghosts of its original masons wandering its halls. Next to it is Hart House with its dining options from cafeteria to the upscale Gallery Grill. You may want to plan for a theatre performance at Hart House Theatre. Great performances, with tickets under $20. Don't miss the best view of CN Tower from the University College lawn. Nearby are many Toronto attractions such as the Royal Ontario Museum or the Bata Museum. China Town is a short walk away. For dinner you may select one of the many restaurants on nearby Baldwin Street.
