To me, the most beautiful thing that the man have ever made in history. Every time i see it, even if i'mdriving in my car and paying no attention to it, i have to stop a spend at least 5 minutes to think about the fights that took place inside 2000 years ago, about how Rome had to be so much time ago, how different from now, about the greatness of his empire and so on... After this beautiful moment, you just have to choose: you can take Via dei Fori Imperiali and move towards Piazza Venezia (where is located the famous Benito Mussolini balcony), or see the wonderful Arco di Costantino and then move to Circo Massimo, other two pieces of fascinating Roman history. |

2. Imperial Forums (Fori Imperiali)
After seen the Colosseum, you HAVE TO stop here and keep thinking about the Roman Empire. But after the fight and the strength of the Colosseum, here the ruins talk about the Senate, the politics, his intrigues that contributed to bring the Empire to the end. With the same ticket you can visit Colosseum, Fori Imperiali and Palatino. |

Through Via dei Fori Imperiali you're arrived to Piazza Venezia, another piece of history. You've just catched your breathe and you lose it again when you look at the Altare della Patria, the solemn white building that dominates the square. You can get in and see this beautiful part of Rome from the top. Another great emotion that only this city can give. In Piazza Venezia there is also the Benito Mussolini's balcony, from where the Duce spoke to the acclaiming crowd and announced the Italy's joining to the Second :World War. |

Now it's time to go shopping. From Piazza Venezia, take via del Corso and then via Condotti to see the shops of the most famous "griffes" of the world. Most of them, of course, are italian... |

5. Spanish Steps (Piazza di Spagna)
Now you're arrived in Spanish Steps (Piazza di Spagna), named after the beautiful staircase that dominates the square. Take 10 minutes and sit down: you can see how many people from all around the world come here. Now that you've seen so many beautiful places, you can easily understand why!! |

Once you're arrived here, you can eat at the "Bolognese" a great restaurant facing to the square. But if you're a budget traveler, i suggest you not to eat there, because the cuisine is great, but the bill is a little bit expensive. |

7. Pincio Gardens (Monte Pincio)
| If you're in Rome with a boyfriend/girlfriend, you're now probably looking for a place to stay in intimacy with your partner. This is the right place. It's a big garden, that in spring is very nice for walking, and for sit down and relax before keeping your trip between history, art and sun! |

8. Trevi Fountain (Fontana di Trevi)
Probably the most famous fountain in the world. Nothing to say about it, just go there and throw a coin in the water. Pay attention: when you do it, do not face the fountain and express the wish to come back to Rome in your life (of course, do not tell it but just think it). |

At evening, you can move here to see this beautiful square with its three fountains, but also to dinner and to move to some clubs or pubs where you can spend the night. Regarding this, move to the near Campo de' Fiori: at night is populated by youth people from all around the world. Here you surely will have much fun. |
