So far I have sailed to Egypt, Turkey, Greece, Italy and Spain. Next will be Denmark, Norway, Finland, Sweden, Russia, Poland and Estonia. There is still so much to see!

  • 1. London
    London, England

Great for everything! Paddington is the best place to base yourself as you can walk everywhere, take the bus or the tube. The Big Bus is great for finding everything and getting there on your own

  • 2. Egypt Highlights
Egypt Highlights- Day Tours, Cairo, Cairo Governorate

One of the ports of call was Alexandria and our Panoramic tour, including the Faourk Palace was amazing as was the day trip to the Great Pyramid and Cairo. Wandering around Qait was incredible, very comfortable, relaxing and everyone was so friendly. There is no way to describe the feeling when first seeing the Great Pyramid on the horizon or to stand in its shadow and wonder and its creation. The Sphinx is also something wonderful to see and walking thru the 'Purification Temple' to get to it, despite the crowd, is wonderful.

  • 3. Copenhagen
    Copenhagen, Zealand

I spent 3 days exploring this wonderful city and found the people to be extremely friendly and helpful. The Glyptotek is an absolute must - it's next door to the Tivoli Gardens, across from Town Hall Square! I was up about 6am one morning, after a european cup qualifying game and that was the only time I saw the city anything but spotless. By the time I'd gone back to the hotel, had breakfast and come back out, it was all clean again!

  • 4. Tivoli Gardens
    Tivoli Gardens, Copenhagen, Zealand

The Gardens are as lovely as I had expected. They are a very relaxing place to wander around, have a meal - not as expensive as I had been led to believe - or a coffee and people watch.

  • 5. St. Petersburg
    St. Petersburg, Northwestern District

Beautiful, chaotic, colourful, drab, breathtaking - St Petersburg is all of these! There do not seem to be any traffic rules, despite traffic lights and pedestrian crossings as we were contstantly warned by our guides! The Hermitage is...........the Hermitage, impossible to describe, full of amazing colour, beautiful rooms and artworks of all description which would take a lifetime to see. A canal cruise is a wonderful way to see as much as possible and as they provide a glass of Russian champagne (very nice!) it is also quite comfortable - but keep your head down! Puskhkin, to explore the Summer (Catherine) Palace is a lovely place - and where you will finally find houses and country homes - there are none in St Petersburg, only apartments. Whether you have seen Versailles or not - and I haven't yet - it is an incredible place to see the design and splendour.
